I purchase a service contract on 10/16/2014 from Porsche of Arlington, VA for four thousand three and fifty eight dollars for my 2011 HSE Range Rover, the provider and administrator, is Automotive Warranty Service, Inc. On 30 July 2016 while driving my truck it started to slow down, and I started to pull off the road, the truck started smoking and overheating. I left the truck park on steam view Dr. in Waldorf, MD, and on 31 July I call USAA and they came and tow my truck to Land Rover of Alexandria. Land Rover call me and told me that the vehicle overheated because the water pump failed. The warranty company approved the replacement of the failed water pump. It was called into the warranty company by Land Rover stating radiator leaking, overheating". Land Rover completed the job and road tested. The vehicle showed more severity on how bad it had been overheated. There was coolant in cylinders 3,5,and 7. Therefore the engine had to be torn down to verify if it was the head gasket, cylinder head, or cylinder block. The warranty company did request further diagnosis to condemn the engine. After Land Rover told the warranty company that the engine was no good, the warranty company stated that they do not cover the engine cause by contamination, overheating, and lack of coolant or lack of fluids. Range Rover said that the cost for further diagnosis and twenty hours of labor was five thousand dollars for the diagnosis, the warranty company stated that they would pay the five thousand dollars for the diagnosis, the water pump, ten hours of labor, now that leaves me a balance of one thousand nine hundred and fifty dollars for a truck with no engine, Range Rover told the warranty company before the further diagnosis that engine was bad. my warranty states that the engine is cover, but does not cover if cause by driving the vehicle with no fluids or overheating by the driver. I have been telling the warranty company that when the vehicle started to slow down I pull off the road and the vehicle went out, they are trying to blame me for the vehicle overheating on a 95 degree's day. I have a copy of my warranty and a statement from Land Rover of Alexandria. here's my contact information. Phone: 202 270-0232 email: [email protected]
