My computer did not work. I was trying to reach Microsoft and their logo came up with a phone # which immediately put me to My Tech Bay. I was dubious, but the guy said I had a Trojan (which I am sure he placed). After fixing it, he said it would be $600 for lifetime service. I was doubtful but I was very frustrated and had a doctor's appointment. I didn't think they would ever get off the line. My husband was dubious but he was headed to the same appointment and said to go ahead and do it. The credit card company rejected it, which should have been a "red flag". Told the guy and he told me to call the credit card company and tell them to let it go through. Like an idiot I did. I was in a big hurry, but they took forever. They told me somebody would call to confirm. They did and ask for my password, which I did not give them. The next day, I decided I wanted a credit and they kept putting me off and putting me off. I blamed myself and just let it go. I lied to my husband and told him they gave the money back, but I had to pay the $600. I feel like it was my fault anyway. IF you can help OK, if not I elarned a very expensive lesson.
