I had a similar encounter with this person as the post here in 2014, however the price has gone up. But I was warned in time with reference to this site.

A first contact gave no requested details and solicited more info. A reply email said:
"I read your mail regard my unit for rent. I work as (Construction Services Engineering) Construction engineering is an important part of the development of a construction project. This particular role involves planning and directing projects, from the initial design of the project right the way through to conducting surveys and overseeing daily construction activities, making sure the plans are on the right track. I got a great Contract with another building company few months back in Cotonou, Benin Republic. And i was eager to move, due to the new project.

Have been stay in my apartment with my family for pass 5 years before i got a new contract. Its beautiful home which am really missing now. Everything in the apartment is in perfect order. Now i need an honest and responsible tenant who can promise to take good care of the apartment in my absence, someone that will maintain it as his or her own.

Monthly rent is $850
Damage deposit is $850.
