Mother passed away 03/24/2016. Delta was sent a death certificate to verify death in order to return balance of premium. Delta sent check made out to deceased Esther D Watson. I am her daughter Juanita Christal. I cannot cash the check. Have Lawyer and are in probate. Asked Delta to cancel check and rewrite check to Esther D Watson Estate. Probate Attorney Matthew E Donahue 15760 Ventura Blvd, Suite 1100 Encino, Ca 91436 800 8846000 ext1221. Delta is set on keeping the refund. And not placing it in the deceased Estate. If I leave this to the attorney to resolve we will have to pay him to do it. Which his fee would exceed the $32.37. After seeing the death certificate. Why would you make a check out to the deceased person and not to the Estate of Esther D Watson or myself Juanita Christal who faxed them the death certificate.
