I received a phone call on 7/02/16 about 4 pm. I was told by a technician named Parmed Singh that my computer was infected with a virus (I did not catch the name of the virus) and that he could fix the problem which he did in about 30 minutes. He offered to protect my computer for 3 years at a total cost $600.00. At their request I paid them with a Visa card. I was emailed an invoice on 7/3/16 with a total charge of $679.98 which included a charge of $499.99 for 1 Family Support Incident for 3 computers and a charge of $179.99 for 1 AVG CloudCare Antivirus Service. I then got an email from "MyTechBay Service Team" on 7/4/16 welcoming me to the MyTechBay family and stating that the charge will appear under the name of "TEK-PAYMENT.COM XIAMEN CHN" in my account statement. I was also given a customer ID number and the phone number for their Tech Support team at 1-888-287-7381.

The email I received on 7/3/16 also stated that PayEase/PES* is an international payment gateway company that offers payment gateway service to Tech Support Company : www.mytechbay.us.

I now believe this may have been a scam in which they infected my computer with a virus and then charged me to remove it and buy their 3-year technical support plan.
