Got a call my registry was needing updated and repaired because my new cannon printer would not install on computer. I let them remotely access my computer and then they wanted $249.99 to fix everything. They called today telling me that they were closing company and wanted to refund my payment. They could only do so if I accessed my bank while they were remotely connected. I wouldn't allow and they got mad and said my computer would never work again unless I logged into my bank account so they could refund money. I wanted to call my bank to check and they said they didn't have time for that. I finally pulled the plug on my wireless and went to bank and closed out credit card I issued payment from. I also changed my password on the banks computer and froze my account for 30 days. Bank also filed a fraud complaint to try and get my money refunded. Called the BBB and Attorney General for my state and they are sending complaint forms to fill out. I will try all avenues possible to help other people catch these scammers.
