Mother-In-Law got a blue screen that said there was a virus and to call a number. She called, they used either Citrix or Log Me In to share her screen and started doing "stuff" but then she got suspicious and hung up. She changed bank information and called us the next day. I called the number and gathered as much information as I could but it wasn't much because each time I called it was different information given to me. Audney was the company name given on the second call. They said from Dallas, Texas but the "support service" was based out of New Deli. I asked to speak to supervisor, someone different came on and we exchanged a few words and they hung-up on me. First call I made, I asked for the company name and they said "Technical support for Windows". I asked again 3 times, they said "Windows".
I said that's not even the name of the company but let them continue with the scam.
