I was just contacted by someone claiming to be an attorney representing Insight Capital, LLC, who also claimed that I was about to be subpoenaed to my local court on check fraud charges for a debt that they were unable to collect from 2010. They had an address that was four moves ago and an old email address, which was discontinued but has since been resumed.

I informed the representative that I did not recognize the name Insight Capital, LLC, nor their DBA Riverside. When I asked (more than once) for paperwork proving that I had incurred this debt, because I don't remember leaving any debt unsettled, they said that the company refuses to send any further paperwork because they have done all they were legally required to do. They claimed there was no forwarding address on my PO Box that they sent many letters to, but I kept one in force for a year. I also had emails forwarding as well.

Upon becoming impatient with the refusal even on the part of the representative (who claims she had the paperwork) to provide proof or some paperwork to remind me of the debt and legitimize it, I suggested that they move forward on their court case.

Thank you for this service. I'm very relieved to see that this may be a scam because the last thing I need at any time is a court case, but especially now with my spouse in the hospital.
