I just received a call from this company offering a very nice vacation package for a very low price. The fact that I have been a victim of identity theft in the past, I am naturally skeptical. So I inquire about the name of the company and ask for a direct contact number. I was then passed to a confirmation manager as if I stated that I would be willing to proceed with the transaction. So when he got on the line, I continued to ask him the same questions. He then replied with why would we wait our time to scam you? And I replied, why wouldn't you...it's not YOUR hard earned money? He then offered to lower the price. I then asked how he received my number? Being that I recently changed my number, many do not have access to it. He then asked me if I have traveled in the past year? Which I replied yes. And he stated, that is how they received my number, from the resort that I booked with. At that point, I replied that this has to be a scam, because I didn't have this same number during the time of my travels and to remove my number from the contact list. He then told someone to hang up the phone.
