My husband received a letter from Continental Lottery Inc, he has won $500,000. A check for $7900 was enclosed for fees and taxes. The letter shows addresses in New York and London. Phone No. is 1-647-710-2097. Claims agent is Bruce Wagon. The check isto pay taxes of $7,000 and insurance of $600. It has a tear off stub on the bottom to send back with the $7600. in order to receive the remaining $492.005.00. This amount is then supposed to be paid by certified check !!
However, the $7900 check is not certified.
The $7900 check is from Spitzer Industries, Inc
11250 Tanner Road, Houston, Tx 77041. It is drawn on Amegy Bank of Texas, NA, Houston
Iam reporting this scam because my husband believed it; it was only when I showed him the info I found on line that he realized it is a scam. I hope this helps others who received similar letters.
