I answered a post for a makeup artist, same as I do everyday, except I knew immediately this was a scam, because I'd gotten a similar letter before. The scam is they want to overpay you to do their fashion show, but they want you to put their check in the bank and then you pay the stylist out of your bank account. Problem is, the check is a fraud & by you depositing it you've just committed bank fraud . For everyone that doesn't know about this, here is the actual ad & corresponding hiring letter:

We need a Make up Artist for a Fashion Shoot.Pay is $120/hr. No nudity, fetish, bondage and other adult content stuff. You are allowed to come with an assistant. Email [email protected] for details if interested.

  • They must be trolling OneModelPlace, because I got one exactly like this but addressed to an actress, not a makeup artist. Same scam about wiring money.
