My wife was on Safari and suddenly a pop up warned of computer virus attack and corruption She innocently called the number given and they asked for access to the computer. The first thing they did was ask for the credit card number. I came home about two hours later and my wife was still on the line as they tried to rifle through the Mac hard drive. They were going to charge for a one-time fix and a year's protection. Right after, I smelled a rat. They were re-selling Norton at a huge mark up. We bailed at this point. Because Norton was being sold under a scam, I phoned Norton and told them of our plight and the tech showed us how to 'force quit' out of Us solutions. We cancelled the credit card payment and promptly cancelled the card so as to prevent further depredations.

They Us solutions tried to call the minute the payment was cancelled, and since then, they have called us at all hours, including 2:00 AM, several nights in a row. We have tried blocking the calls but there seems to be a way that prevents us from blocking them.


I was scammed by them earlier on my computer. I was installing Norton when Us solutions (aka Global Technologies) leaped in over the Norton and claimed to be Norton. After this recent event, I phoned Norton and discovered that they had used their own product key so to keep the licence renewal under their control. Norton put my product key in so as to keep these weasels out of the transaction.
