Pop-up virus/malware msg appeared on I-Pad Air tablet, with alleged APPLE phone number to call APPLE tech support, 800-624-9114. Called number, was routed to "Daniel" who provided very clearly and repeatedly, that he was an APPLE techn. He orally reviewed my problem and diagnosed that I had a KOOBFACE worm in my system. He then transferred me to QUICK SOLUTIONS which he said was a certified APPLE third-party service that specialized in removal of this worm/virus. The QUICK SOLUTIONS representative also repeatedly stressed he was a 9-Level Certified specialist in systems and iPAD. We allowed company remote access to my PC and tablet, for cost of $299.00. QUICK SOLUTIONS ran several anti-virus/anti-malware programs remotely and loaded new version of CCLEANER to my PC. After about 3 hours, declared PC and tablet clean forever.
Afterwards, discovered this whole process was a total sham and bogus operation. Good news so far, is that the $299.00 fee has not shown up on my credit card, which I will contest and have already notified my bank card holder company as a fraudulent billing. QUICK SOLUTIONS is a fraud; don't get caught as we did !
