Trying to find a short term rental in Salem, SC. Was contacted by Walton Thomas who stated that he owned a property near Lake Keowee. Further investigation showed he was not property owner yet he persistently tried to rent me the property at a ridiculously low price, but would not meet in person, insisted he was a 79 year old missionary who did not have time to meet. He is not property owner and had no authority to act on owner's behalf. Beware if you are looking for a rental around Lake Keowee and do NOT rent anything from this scam artist.
