I tried to call Geek Squad technical support because I have a tech support plan with them. I thought that I
had reached them because someone answered "Geeks
technical support". I had a problem and they resolved
it, but then they said that to prevent any further problems I needed to buy a lifetime protection plan for 599.99. Since I believed that they were Geek Squad, which is affiliated with Best Buy, I signed on for this.
I asked if they were Geek Squad specifially. The man
said that Geek Squad is for hardware and they do the software. He intended that I believe they were the same as left and right hand of the same business. I would never trust them to have anything to do with my computer. Foir 599.99 I got nothing.
