This person has got too much money out of me an as a recently separated person who was already distraught I fell for it. She led me to believe that she had a sick grandmother she was taking care of and that she had late parents that she had an inheritance from if she were to get married in the United States. I stupidly sent her money via western union and money gram. She sent many pictures of someone I believed to be her and showing off those photos to my friends and family. I searched those pictures on tineye and verified that the picture belonged to a 35 year old woman living in Minnesota. I sent money to an address 46 Allen Benson Street
Lagos, Nigeria 23401. She asked me to give her questions that she would only know the answer to so she apparently can very fun the person she was talking to. She told me her granny name was Mary Hudson. She had me make her Facebook accounts with her using my last name. I didn't realize it was a scam until I googled the name of the lawyer she gave me which was Barrister Robert Williams. It brought up all kinds of red flags for me. It started by saying very similar stuff about Internet fraud from dating sites in Nigeria. I questioned her about it but then she began to say that the lawyer was apparently the fraud. I asked her to call me on the phone and she stated that the public use of the phone would cost money that she didn't have. I tried to Facebook video chat in the messenger to try and see her face and hear her voice but to my surprise no images, no voice just background noises of maybe kids and a dog. I am sadly ashamed at my vulnerability in this experience. And to the gentleman who's post I read and is currently commenting on, I feel your pain and I don't think I got to the suicide point but I did get emotionally attached to this person. I'm not even sure if it is a female at this point. That makes it even grosser than imagined. And also to the same gentleman I have no reason not to get in touch with you so we can get this person off the propel of innocent hearts so at reason contact me at [email protected]. And to this site please help me with my monetary losses. I have all my receipts.
