I registered for Microsoft office 360 on their free trial. I was told that I would not be charged for the services if I had cancelled the subscription before the end of the month. I made sure that I was well before the end of the month when I decided to cancel the my subscription to both the office 360 home and business account that I had. Microsoft decided that they were still going to put they payments through after the subscriptions were cancelled not once but I have had three 89.00 payments withdrawn from my checking account. Also I did make a personal phone call to the company and discussed this matter with one of their representatives. Even though microsoft was aware that they were not permitted to take any money out of my account automatically; they did so anyways. Just the three payments they took out of my account added up to $367.00 and then I was charged $45.00 every withdrawal from my bank; which ended up being another $135.00. I am a women who lives on sickness and disability benefits and I cannot afford to have this kind of money taken out of my finances; just because microsoft feels like they can. I dont know how I am going to be able to service this month since my money got taken right out of the account for my account being in overdraft. This means I have no money for another 30-45 days; and I dont know how I am going to provide the necessities and essentials that anyone would need to live (food, cleaning supplies, transit fares, bills). I am very very perturbed and I did advise the customer service agent that if any money was taken from my account I would be going to lawyer and discussing this altercation immediately. I figured that I should give microsoft one more chance before I am going to take legal action to get reimbursement on the money that was taken originally; plus whatever extras the court awards in restitution of distress payments.
I hope this situation will be taken care of and resolved in the most promptly manner. I look forward to a resolution in the near future. If I do not get the is settled by this method I will be advancing this suit as soon as possible.
