I was in a car accident in October that totaled my car financed by Exeter finance, I contacted them after I got out of the Hospital to get information for the Insurance to pay off the Car it was a Total loss, they informed me that as long as I keep in touch regarding the Payment and pay off I would not be reported to the Credit agency. The Insurance Company and I both got the Run around from Exeter about getting all the paper work needed for the pay off it has been a two month daily phone calls to the company and they would send one paper but not all or only send a cover letter, the old check is in the mail scam. They reported me to the Credit agency bringing my score down huge drop, then they never contacted the GAP insurance as they informed me they would, I was also informed after 2 months of calling and finally getting all the papers for the insurance to send thier check to Exeter that I would still be noted as a late payment even though they received the insurance payoff and now waiting for the GAP because they are now giving the GAP INSURANCE the same run around in which I had to start the GAP claim and call every day to get papers sent. I asked why I'm getting marked and reported when I did everything and they have been dragging thier feet to get thier payment, they haven't even marked down that they recieved the insurance payment in the system when I call it still says I owe over 12 thousand dollars when the insurance paid over 10 thousand dollars and they told me many times that they recieved the check.
