I authorized my daughter to use my debit card to request assistance from NewUSAFund for help finding college grant money. Turns out this company offered no help whatsoever and is now charging my debit card $29.95/month.
When I attempted to call them (they did provide a phone number on the transaction), they put me on perpetual hold.
I contacted my bank who processed a stop payment but unless I can cancel the service with the company I'm at risk of this stop payment being ineffective if the company changes how they charge the account. At the end of the day, they have my debit card information.
