Though we have a long history of dealing with the fraudsters at ACS, the most recent incident should serve to suffice as a warning to all potential home-showers.

This week, we were invoiced for a fee regarding a home show we were "contractually obligated" to attend in January 2016. One of our owners was cited as the signatory on the contract. This owner had no recollection of signing the contract. After wasting hours of our time, ACS eventually sent a copy of the supposed contract to us via email. Luckily, one of the other owners had kept a copy of the original contract on hand. Lo and behold, the copy sent by ACS was clearly a forgery. We put the two copies one next to the other and the contrast was glaring.

This prompts the question: what sort of two bit fly by night outfit thinks that they can get away with this sort of thing in the 21st century? We are neither elderly, nor foreign. No. We are men who have managed to scrape a living out of the tough soil of suburban Boston. If somebody thinks they can strong-arm us out of $2195, they have obviously never spent much time in the area. We would appreciate it if, after these goons attempt to solicit you and you wisely refuse, you would also remind them that the internet is a thing and people can tell on them for trying to steal money. American Consumer Shows is a pack of lying crooks trying to make a dollar off of the hand-working small business owners of America. Be forewarned. With your constant vigilance, we can keep this sort of thing from happening to a less-prepared, less-world wise victim.

Salud.
