I was first contacted by Axis capital group to buy shares in a company called Belgravia Group. I bought €5,000 worth. They then contacted me again and said they had information on a company that would soon be took over and offered shares in TRITON ORE SA at a preferred rate I took this option and bought €5,000 worth. I was then contacted back and told that a private buyer was making a bid and I needed a minimum amount of shares to benefit they told me my investment with Belgravia shares had been successful and realised a healthy profit suggesting I use this profit to invest further in Triton ore but would still have to purchase another €15,000 to secure the anticipated profit which had to be completed urgently (This was back in April 2015) as the takeover was going to be announced publicly on the 17th May by which date the profits would be transferred back to my account. After this I contacted them by email I got no response. I tried to call their contact number but would always get passed around an exchange by Indo of Pilipino sounding women. Then in August I received a call from them telling me there was a new guy in charge and everything would be finalised by the end of September. Once again he told me I needed to buy even more shares to guarantee a profit of now 90% of my investment. I told him I was not investing anymore and was not impressed with their handling and the lack of feedback.(By this time I was very suspicious of the legitimacy but still hoping something could be salvaged) The guy I was speaking to was very apologetic about his colleagues and kept assuring me he would clear things up. This was until I started asking more questions then he started to talk over me and ended the conversation politely but swiftly and hung up. It is now the 14th October and I as I suspected have not heard anything more from them.
All dealings were done by phone and all confirmations and correspondence was in PDF format attached to mails.
Obviously I feel very foolish and will pursue this further but I urge anyone else who has been "conned" by these people to add their complaints so when people search for Axis Capital Group they can be seen for what they are.
