Same pattern for me. I already had my hotel booking for the 10/2015 SIBOS conference in Singapore book for several weeks through SIBOS. Then EHS called me in July 2015 explaining me there was a problem with the previous travel agent in charge of the booking, they were taking over and could even proposed a slightly better rate, my previous booking would be cancelled. They then sent me an email pointing to a web form to fill, credit card info etc... A few days before the conference (a week ago), I get notified by teh conference organizers that I have a double booking for the hotel, one through them, one through some unknown travel agent. I asked EHS to cancel theirs since obviously they misled me totally, they just answered they have the form I filled and I confirmed it (of course I did...). I called them today, they hold the same position, in short: "you're such a stupid person that you have booked twice and tried to cancelled less than 72 hours before the start date". They are obviously of very bad faith, no moral and liars.
