In December 2014 I decided to get eSecuritel as my cell phone insurance, I was told for a little more than AT&T insurance I would get a new phone if lost or damage. In April 2015 I file a claim for lost phone... I was happy to receive a replacement.. supposly it was an iPhone 6 but come June, the phone needed a system update, while trying to update the iPhone 6 system the phone went dead on me. I called At&T, Target, Apple and finally eSecuritel. AT&T and Target couldn't do a thing and referred me to Apple. Apple asked me for the EMEI number and couldn't locate it, so I called eSecuritel to get it. Once I received it I went to Apple so they could do their thing and fix. That is when i realized that the so called new phone was a phony, the reason the phone could not update is the phone did not have iPhone 6 original parts and could not read the system. eSecuritel resolution to all of this mess is for me to file another claim and pay another $199. deductible to replace a defect phone they gave me on 4-15. Reason I enter $1138.91 damages is the lost of my phone, deductible and month fees. I claim my original phone monetary lost because of the false sales pitch they gave me to discountinue to my regular insurance. If you ever get a replacement phone from this company better make sure is in great condition, not a fony phone and that it is not bend. The Apple representative told be it had a small bend which you could not even see, for this reason eSecuritel want to re do a new claim as damage.
