I signed up to get online Hebrew classes with eTeacher I paid 330 USD which was 1/3 of the charge for one course, 165 USD for a course which only starts in 2016 and 364 USD for a Bible and tape which included shipping and handling. I paid on 01 June 2015 (Monday) On Tuesday I printed the Info-pack I also received an email indicating that my first lesson could be on 15 June or when I wanted. After chatting to a friend I realised I would be too busy to fit the course into my schedule and sent an email on the morning of Wednesday 03 June saying that I should like to cancel my registration of the course, but indicating that I still wanted to receive the Bible and tape for which I had already paid. Well, with this company there is no going back, no refunds, no cancellations. Someone phoned me on Friday 05 June pretty bad tempered and tried to change my mind, wasn't interested in the fact that I'd paid for the Bible, and said I would have to pay a cancellation fee of 160 USD or face legal action as I had cancelled too late( 3 days before my lesson??...for which I had not yet received any info) I immediately put a stop on my credit card. Just as well. Because I sent them an email querying the 160 USD cancellation fee which does not appear anywhere in their regulations. I then received an email saying that I had to pay 110 USD in total extra or face legal action. What a scam. So I am 859 USD wiser!!
