I was on my way to my fiance's home in the Philippines to stay with her until her visa was approved. I bought a 1 way ticket to Manila but I was also forced to buy a ticket showing I would leave the country within 30 days. I told them I had the legal right to stay longer on visa extensions (which they should have known). I ended up buying a "refundable" ticket to Tokyo in order for them to let my fly. Upon returning to the states 7 months later I applied for my refund. They wanted me to provide all sorts of proof that I had left the Philippiines, which I did with a copy of my passport EXIT stamp and an airline ticket OUT of the Philippines ON THEIR AIRLINE. Thet continued to resist refunding my $399 and told me I needed to have some other visa in order to stay in the Philippines. I could NOT get these morons to understand that I was back in the USA!!! I provided every kind of proof a person coudl provide but they still would not refund my money. I finally had enough and reported the entire fiasco the the Philippine Civil Aeronautics Board and to the USA Dept. of Transportation. I provided proof to both of these entities the same as I did the Phil. Air. It wasn't until they both contacted Phil. Air that I finally heard back and they told me they would refund my money on the refundable ticket that I had not used. This whole thing took 3 months. They were impossible to deal with. I read several forums on line regarding this same airline doing this to lots of people and then ignoring their request for refunds.
Please....think twice about booking with them. You may regret it.
