I spent hand over fist for a 1998 Jaguar that I was told was a ONE owner, well taken care of vehicle, that was fully inspected by the mechanic used by Jacoby Motors.

I started having problems with the car from the very beginning. On day TWO I had to replace two tires that were actually with bubbles on the inside walls of the tires in the front. I was told the car was SAFE!!! For what??? Floating?

I attempted to drive the car two miles from my home and power steering went out, lights came on dash board reflecting "No Power To Battery". I returned home while car was being parked, without power steering, to suddenly have car start smoking from under the hood. (This was on a Saturday)

The next day I called Jacoby Motors, spoke with Katherine-salesperson, who informed me that Teo was not there on a Sunday, and to call back in the morning. I even tried his personal cell phone that he answers when I have referred customers to him in the past.

On Monday I received a message from Teo on my cell phone for weekly payment due on the vehicle. I called back to have Teo tell me that he was going to LIE to his mechanic, and tell him that he repossessed the car from me, I should have it towed to his mechanic, and he would get it fixed at HIS cost. LIES AGAIN!!!

This was told to me by the owner, Teodoro Colon of Naples, Fl. I was told brakes and tires were checked and had plenty of thread on them, as well as brakes being replaced prior to purchase from me. Teo, the owner, also said engine had NO leaks, they replaced plugs, and no transmission issues, or motor issues. Well, since purchase date I have had to pay hand over fist for repairs and replacements. I replaced two tires, a serpentine belt, a tensioner belt, two oil changes, several hundred in mechanic fees through HIS mechanic, etc. I paid also to have HIS mechanic work on the car and said it was fixed, only to get stuck three miles from the mechanics shop, and had to PUSH the car to the side of the road. I called the mechanic, Leo, and told him the car shut down-only to be told that it was ok...as "long as the temperature gauge was not running hot, I could drive the car". The car wouldn't even re-start. Also, after collecting the CASH from me from FIXING the car, I was taken to the interior of the garage where the care was, only to be told that the hose NOW had a cut in the top of it, and needed to be replaced. The mechanic told me that the top hose would cost $159.00 from the dealer. When I FINALLY arrived home, called Auto Zone, and the part "FROM THE DEALER" IS ONLY $19.99. Leo, Teo's mechanic,(Name above mentioned) also wanted $120.00 additional to put that hose on the car. OH...and he added that, even after the hose was put on, there may be other leaks on the bottom of the engine that could be very costly. I called a tow truck and had the car delivered back to Teo. I'm sure he will find another SUCKER to LIE to , and re-sell this car. I would't recommend this dealership to ANYONE !!! I don't care how desperate you are for a car, or how bad your credit is. You are better off taking a damn bus !!! You will get SCREWED, LIED TO about condition of any vehicle, lied to about repairs,lied to about the history of the vehicle, NO carfax report available, and lied to about warranty issues. I am hiring an attorney and will stand on US 41 with a sign warning future customers that may fall prey to Jacoby Motors, and Teodoro Colon, if I have to, in order to save others the financial DISASTER, and STRESS, before they buy a car from this place. It is not even BBB Accredited !!! Gee...I wonder why !
