Be careful of this site, it has no way of protecting people. I had an aquintance/friend take me to a doctor's appt. Well I have a very important surgery coming up and have many expenses. This friend set up a Go Fund Me account for me without my knowledge or consent. This is very wrong on many levels. For one she wanted to control the funds that she was supposedly raising for me. When I told her to shut the site down she refused until I told her that if she didn't that she was running the fundraiser with the knowledge that I did not agree with it and I would not except any of the donations so she finally did but not before doing the one and only update 4 hours before it was gone defacing my character, lying, ruining my fundraiser that family was going to do but she did without permission. I was $70 from being in their database but had to start all over and of course now no shares or donations, Go Fund Me should have policies to protect people like me and others from this happening they should not allow people to just start a fundraiser in someone's name without their consent because that is our personal information for one and what if we have someone that we have picked to do it. Of course all they keep saying is fraud fraud fraud I said this is more than fraud she defaced my character on your site because she was able to make this without my permission they need sued. If this has happened to you or something else we can bring a case against them because all they care about is the money they are making not about the victims like me and others email me: [email protected]
