On January 5, 2012 we attended an RCI point vacation time share presentation at the Olive Garden Restaurant in El Paso, Texas at 7:00 PM. The presenters were Mr. Lynn Hunter who represented Fishermans Cove Resort in Houston,  Texas and Mr. Johnny Mendoza representing RCI. The persons whom I am part of are: myself Adriana C. Nunez, Gerardo Nunez, Maria De Monserrat Orozco and Arturo Orozco. We heard the whole presentation that sounded beneficial to us because we each have a timeshare with Westgate lakes and both together we own another timeshare in Cancun Quintana Roo, Mexico and if we were to take advantage of the point system that RCI has ,they would buy all the timeshares we owned and only acquired the RCI points that we needed. Of course that the points were were buying were 44500 and had a cost value of $10,600.00         So we were left with a balance of $10,600. Mr. Johnny Mendoza said that the  company that was buying our timeshare was Sumday Vacations and as we were there, he was actually talking to a Sumday Vacation representative and he said " you are very lucky cause I was just told by the Sumday Vacation representative that one of our timeshare was worth more so they are able to give us $600.00 dlls more". This left us with a balance of $10,000.00. We asked that we still needed to pay the yearly maintenance fees of each  of the three timeshares and Mr. Johnny Mendoza said that we did not have to pay the yearly maintenance fees nor the monthly fees as they would take care of all that, once we signed. Once more let me state that we all thought that was a great idea and we signed. We were told that we were going to get copy of all the documents we signed even of the ones that stated about not paying the yearly maintenance fee and the monthly fee. When we were leaving they even treated our husbands to a beer at the Olive Garden Bar and the brought two small white envelopes with the copies but little that we knew that inside the envolopes we would not have the paper work that stated that we did not have to pay the fees. Mr. Mendoza even told us that a person was going to contact us to get all the info on the timeshares they were  buying from us. We told Mr. Mendoza we needed to get all our paper work and membership fast because we had a wedding to go to in Pittsburgh and we want to use the points we just bought, he said there was not going to be a problem that he would make sure that someone called us on the next day (Friday) but if no on Monday 1/9/2012. The days went by and no one called us and at that time both Mrs Orozco and myself tried contacting Mr. Mendoza and he never answered our calls. (I have a record of times we called and dates both in writing and in phone bills that I can present upon request/required)

Since we did not pay the yearly maintenance fees and the monthly payments we have been called by the people of Westgate Resorts and from Royal Holiday that because we have not paid we are going to be sent to the Credit bureau. We have been paying the monthly fees from the new contract with Fishermans Cove and  RCI but Mr. Johnny Mendoza has not come through. I have called RCI to find out about our membership and I have been told that RCI is backed up three months with the memberships. The last time I called was on        and I was told that it took 90 days excluding Sundays for our membership to come through. It has been more that the specified time and I called again and was told that RCI was barely working on November and December 2011 memberships. To us this is beginning to sound like we were ripped off and we desire for you to help us with this matter. We bought the RCI/Fishermans Cove point membership because they were getting us out of the timeshares we had but this is not the case so we do not want or desire to keep this membership.

Finally on April 24th I spoke to Dawn Dyess who is the person in charge and she told me that the  condos at we thought they had taken into credit weren't so, that we could either keep our condos, sell them or give them away they did not care because they were still ours. She then gave me the number to Sumday Vacations and forwarded me the paper work to fill out so we on our own sell the condos.
