Our family experienced a loss in Alabama, being that we would need to travel from Kentucky I looked up potential hotels in the area. I had previously stayed at a Hampton Inn so I choose to search for them on google. First link I found took me to a webpage that seemed to be run by the hotel, at the top was "reservation desk, 24/7 and the number 866-460-7440. Upon speaking to George I truly felt I was talking with a representative for the hotel. I specifically asked for a handicap accessible room on the first floor and next to the front door. Upon my arrival I found that the rooms were on the 4th floor halfway down the hall from the elevator. After speaking with the front desk we were able to switch out the room for my father but left myself several rooms away. I was told by the front desk that a refund could not be issued by them for the travel discount amount since this was for a funeral. I again called the 855 # and was told my case would be investigated and would receive a call back. That did not happen. I instead receive an email. I was told that because I did not request a discount for a funeral rate they could not help me. I just got off the phone with a supervisor who basically told me that it was my fault for not mentioning that I was traveling for a funeral and that he could not give me the $10 per room discount the hotel offers. After further review I found that I was charged an additional $50 per room rate for reserving the hotel through this so called company. I have asked for the $30 back, difference in the room requested (king) and the one I had my father switched to (2 queen bed) along with the $20 discount for funeral. They are basically refusing to do that. I would like to see this company investigated for fraud as I feel they are nothing but a scam.
