I left the car dealer with a loaner and told the salesman to find me a red car and I left my trade in there. Was told to let them know the next day if I decided I didn't want to make the deal so they wouldn't bring a car in. I called and told the salesman I was bringing the loaner back and didn't want to make a deal with them and would expect my down pmt back. I hadn't signed anything. When I got there the next day I was told they had gotten another car and had the paperwork ready. I told him I already cancelled the deal and wanted my car and the down pmt back. He told me there would be a restocking fee (???) to return cancel. I asked where my car was and was told they didn't know (?). I became so upset and after confronting the manager and called a lier I took the new car and left. It took 3 weeks for me to get copies of the paperwork.. It was a computer copy and not what I signed. I agreed to paying the difference in what was owed on the trade in and what they would give me on it. The paperwork I got showed that amt as a downpmt and they charged me the difference in what was owed and what they gave me.
