Is Omnitech really BBB accredited? I couldn't find THIS company in my search, and even on their own website BBB has no link, and Omnitech states that is was a member since 2003, but one of their own responses stated they've been a member since 2006. Don't believe them!!! "DON'T use them!!! wasted 3 hours with them. First 1 1/2 with them was to clear up a problem, until the end when they announced a steep fee for their service, which ended up being something that anyone can easily do themselves.
NEXT Hour was trying to get what they did to my computer undone. They left my computer almost unusable, with many functions unable to get to.
The original problem I had they tried to make it appear worse, and wanted $250 to fix, but after awhile, the price kept coming down. In my opinion, this company just tries to prey upon the unknowing!!! DON"T fall for it!!!!

  • We, OmniTech Support has been in the business since 2003 and have been accredited since 2006 with a Top rating of A+. The BBB has blocking in place during peak times to disallow accesses from outside North America for business reviews and directories. There is a BBB insignia placed on the top right corner of our website, when on it directly takes to the BBB directories of OmniTech Support. The customer needs to make sure a company’s name is spelled correctly. The complainant must has been confused with the year of our business starting (2003) and the year of the BBB accreditation (2006). Because we are a fee-based online technical support organization, we charge for any work for issue resolution. Some issues are more complex than what they seem to be initially and the time taken to fix the issue may vary according to the complexity of the issue and amount of issues present in the system. Charges differ from issue to issue and type of plans opted. The plan offered to this person for the amount of $250, actually $249.99, was a Half yearly Plan which include a full version of an optimization software called – Advanced System Optimizer, a full version of Bit Defender anti-virus, 5GB Cloud Storage support and UNLIMITED tech support. If the customer did not want a subscription plan, he would be offered a single-issue fix. That’s why the price can come down. Plus, by using a local tech, the customer must take the time for a round trip travel to the tech for each issue. By any stretch of the imagination, that is a GOOD DEAL! The Remote online technical assistance is the best economical option for customers. As these allegations are posted anonymously, we, unfortunately, are not in a position to offer any comments as to what actually, if anything, transpired. We invite this person to provide some more details like his/her email address and on what date he/she came in to us for help. To get a refund, just the customer needs to send an email at [email protected]
