I linked to Newsmax offer for free download of a report re: free stuff for people over 50. As I proceeded to request this "free" report, I made certain to uncheck many auto-checked boxes to subscribe to additional/various publications from Newsmax. No matter what I did to make certain I was not signing up for anything other than the free publication, I ended up somehow auto-enrolled in several "trial" publications that will ultimately charge my credit card for many fees unless I cancel each one in time during the trial period. I am not at all happy with their website and being "tricked" into ordering publications I did not intend to order and refuse to pay for. I believe their website is set up to purposefully trick people into subscriptions.
