Citi Cards advertised for company credit cards with enticement for 25,000 American Airlines miles and promised prequalification. They refused the credit because I use my existing credit cards often and have a high turnover (i.e. I pay them off in full each month). I talked with them about this unorthodox reason for refusal and resubmitted an application via phone. In response, Reference number 201111078006073, I got another refusal saying "You have submitted multiple applications for credit." I have not submitted applications for credit to any other agency this year! Not only did I not get my 25,000 miles nor a credit card, but I spent a great deal of time filling out forms and making these applications.
