DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THESE PEOPLE! I have a degree in Computer Support & recently had to chat with them to see if there was any way to change the UI of my Outlook Web Access back to what it was. I am not familiar with Outlook Web Access but figured I would try anyway, even though I was pretty sure there was nothing that could be done.

What I did not know, was that our company automatically upgraded from 2007, so therefore you cannot change it back. No one in our office knew of this change & I am the one they go to for computer issues, so I figured why not try.

I choose to use the chat feature as I am busy & always on the phone. Long story short, they tried to tell me in order to change it back, I would have to purchase over $400 in their products. They claimed that my computer was too infected to make the change. I knew it was complete bullshit & knew immediately there is no way to change it.

Come to find it had been automatically updated. There is NO way to change it back once it has updated. What is sad is these "technicians" should know this & probably do. Their job is not to help you, it is to sell to you. As soon as I confronted them and the supposed "supervisor", we had a war over my cursor in which they frantically tried to exit out of the chat.

Tech 209:
Hi, this is Edward.
Tech 209:
Please do not minimize or close this chat window, as we would lose connection with you if you do so.
10:00 AM
Tech 209:
How may I assist you today?

10:01 AM
Jaime:
Last night the UI of Outlook Web Access changed & we need to know how to change it back. It's hideous, tacky, & big. We NEED to change it back to what it was before

10:02 AM
Tech 209:
Okay, I will be glad to assist you with the issue.
10:02 AM
Tech 209:
May I know the default browser(Internet Explorer, Google Chrome or Firefox) that you are using in your system?

10:02 AM
Jaime:
IE

10:02 AM
Tech 209:
Okay, may I know whether you are facing this issue with the same computer from which you are online with me now?

10:03 AM
Jaime:
Yes & like I told the last guy, it's on ALLL computers. It's a total UI change

10:03 AM
Tech 209:
Okay, thank you for all the information.

10:04 AM
Tech 209:
I understand that you need to change back the UI for the Outlook Web Access.
10:04 AM
Tech 209:
Am I correct?

10:04 AM
Jaime:
Yes

10:04 AM
Tech 209:
Thank you for the confirmation.
10:04 AM
Tech 209:
Please let me know the phone # that you have provided "----------" is the best number to reach you or could you please provide me the alternate # to reach you in case of disconnection.

10:04 AM
Jaime:
that is the best

10:05 AM
Tech 209:
Thank you for reconfirmation.

10:05 AM
Tech 209:
Jaime, in order to understand the issue better we need to remote into your computer. To remote into your computer we need to download and run an applet. You will be in complete control of your computer and can override the remote access anytime you wish. Please note that we will NOT have any access to your computer after we end this session.

10:05 AM
Tech 209:
May I go ahead?

10:05 AM
Jaime:
Yes

10:05 AM
Tech 209:
Thank you for allowing me to access your computer remotely.

Tech 209:
Could you please show me the exact issue that you are facing?

10:07 AM
Jaime:
This, that whole screen. Its terrible

10:07 AM
Jaime:
We need to know how to change it back

10:08 AM
Tech 209:
Okay, let me have a check on the issue.

10:08 AM
Jaime:
You do realize this is a design thing, not an "issue" right?

10:08 AM
Tech 209:
Yes, please stay online while I have a check.

10:11 AM
Jaime:
If anything the change is going to be done in Outlook since it is a new design

10:12 AM
Tech 209:
Yes Jaime, before initiating the process of changing the UI back to normal in Outlook Web Access , I would like to run a detailed scan to make sure that there are no underlying errors present in your system which can conflict with Outlook web access setting and it’s functionality.

10:12 AM
Tech 209:
May I go ahead?

10:14 AM
Jaime:
Ya

10:14 AM
Tech 209:
Thank you for the permission. Please stay online while I run a detailed scan.

10:17 AM
Tech 209:
Thank you for being online.

10:18 AM
Tech 209:
I understand your concern and I will surely assist you with the step by step procedure of changing the UI back to normal in Outlook Web Access .

10:18 AM
Tech 209:
Did you notice these errors and infections which were detected in your system in the security scan now?

10:18 AM
10:18 AM
Jaime:
Ya

10:18 AM
Tech 209:
Okay Jamie, scan results show a lot of registry keys & Windows file system modules being corrupted due to the presence of polymorphic infections and other harmful viruses in the computer.

10:19 AM
Tech 209:
These infections and errors are conflicting with the Outlook web access setting and it’s functionality due to which before initiating the process of changing the UI back to normal in Outlook Web Access, we need to remove these errors and infections so that you can be able to get the desired result from Outlook web access setting.

10:19 AM
Tech 209:
These issues need to be addressed immediately as the infections and errors tend to migrate to other Windows system file modules leading to other computer complications and even leading to potential loss of data including e-mails, personal files, financial data etc.

10:19 AM
Tech 209:
May I know if you are clear about the issue?

10:19 AM
Jaime:
Yes

10:20 AM
Tech 209:
In order to fix the UI of Outlook web access, all the corrupted Windows file system errors and data registry key associated with Outlook web access has to be isolated and repaired manually file by file, along with the removal of the infections which caused these problems in the first place.

10:20 AM
Tech 209:
Shall I go ahead and remove these errors and infections so that the process of changing the UI back to normal in Outlook Web Access can be initiated?

10:21 AM
Jaime:
Yes

10:21 AM
Tech 209:
Jamie, as there are multiple number of critical issues and I need to repair all the corrupted registry keys and the errors found in the computer, it would cost you (USD) $249.99 to completely fix these issues.

10:21 AM
Tech 209:
Along with the complete fix, we will install the FULL version of an Advanced System optimizer and also provide 5 GB cloud back up for FREE, so that your PC and personal files stay protected from any further attacks.

10:21 AM
Jaime:
No you dont. I'm not paying anything for that & that can be addressed later. Nice try though

10:22 AM Connection lost. Attempting reconnection...

10:23 AM Connecting...

10:23 AM Connected. A support representative will be with you shortly.

10:23 AM Support session established with Tech 209.

10:37 AM You have ended the session.

10:24 AM
Tech 209:
Hi, this is Edward.

10:24 AM
Jaime:
Why are there 2 windows

10:24 AM
Tech 209:
Sorry for the inconvenience caused, the connection is lost due to internet Fluctuation.

10:24 AM
Jaime:
We are connected in the other window

10:24 AM
Tech 209:
Lets continue the chat here.

10:25 AM
Jaime:
Like I said, I know for a fact the "issue" is not solvable by purchasing your product to clean up the computer. Now lets move on to switching this back to the old Outlook, if that is even possible which I dont think it is.

10:26 AM
Tech 209:
Jamie, I am sorry if you feel like that; since the infections and errors that are detected are conflicting with the Outlook web access setting and it’s functionality. The only way to changing the UI back to normal in Outlook Web Access, we need to remove these errors and infections so that you can be able to get the desired result from Outlook web access setting.

10:26 AM
Jaime:
HAHAHA! NO ITS NOT! We have a brand new PC here from TODAY & it's the same thing.

10:26 AM
Jaime:
I want to talk to a sup.

10:27 AM
Tech 209:
Please wait Jamie.

10:27 AM
Tech 209:
Hi Jamie,, this is Terry here.

10:28 AM
Tech 209:
How may I assist you today?

10:28 AM
Jaime:
Over night, the outlook Web Access has changed the UI & our office would like to know if there is a way of changing it back to the older version

10:29 AM
Jaime:
I am not purchasing anything, nice sales tactic though on the part of Edward. If I didn't have a sales background & computer background, I would have fell for it. But I KNOW for a fact that the issues with this computer are not directly affecting the UI of Outlook Web Access

10:29 AM
Jaime:
Please stop wasting my time & tell me how to change it back

10:30 AM
Tech 209:
I do understand your concern Jamie, but this is not a simple fix as you say, as you can evidently see from the scan, these infections and errors which were detected in the scan are the root cause behind all the issues with Outlook Web Access as well. In fact these infection have got into the core registry files of the Outlook Web Access.

10:30 AM
Tech 209:
Hence removing these infections and errors is the basic step in order to fix the issue.

10:30 AM
Jaime:
HAHA ITS NOT A FIX! Do you realize that this is the design of the program?!

10:30 AM
Jaime:
A BRAND NEW Computer, that has NO errors, that has outlook web access has the same UI. & guess what, the same options

10:31 AM
Jaime:
There have NEVER been any issues with my outlook until today. And the issue isn't what you say, it is a design change.

10:31 AM
Jaime:
This is exactly why I hate microsoft. You should all be ashamed of yourselves

10:32 AM
Jaime:
So how about this, since we have a PC that is perfectly fine, tell me how to change it back. Since it is brand new out of box, there should be no issues in changing the UI

10:32 AM
Jaime:
if Microsoft even allows that option...

10:33 AM
Tech 209:
Jaime, I do understand your concern, but you have to understand that Microsoft will not be responsible for such kind of issues with your settings. That is the reason why you are connected here to fix the issues.

10:33 AM
Tech 209:
Every new computer during its initial setup is vulnerable. Even a minute of internet connection can leave the door open for an infection to enter to your computer. Once it affects a single application, it will start spreading all over your computer. This is how your new computer got infected.

10:33 AM
Tech 209:
However, I will help you with a better option.

10:34 AM
Jaime:
I never asked for Microsoft to be responsible for issues resulting from my infected computer. I dont have time right now to fix it. Believe me it's on my list, but in my job, there is no time right now. You dont have to tell me about how the internet works. I am not ON my new computer that's what you dont get

10:35 AM
Jaime:
Its the same disgusting look as what I have right now on my PC that Edward had seen. It is a new DESIGN that we want to switch back to the old.

10:36 AM
Tech 209:
Okay Jaime, but the process of changing the UI back from Outlook web access will cost you $119.99.

10:36 AM
Jaime:
HAHAHAHA!\

10:36 AM
Tech 209:
There will not be any additional or hidden charges.

10:36 AM
Jaime:
You're insane!

10:36 AM
Jaime:
You are a disgusting human being. What I am taking from this is that Microsoft made it so that you cannot change the UI & you are trying to exploit.

---And then the battle over the cursor began---
