While playing Four Pics One Word an ad appeared that I could not get rid of. It rather seemed as if it was from the Four Pics One Word people and they knew I was playing it and was in the UK. I STUPIDLY answered 4 questions to be in with a chance of winning an ipad. I had to send the word TABLET by text to them. I then got 3 texts saying I might have won and one, from a different number, saying I was now signed up for competitions for £4.50 a week until I texted STOP to them, which I did immediately. I got 2 more texts, one saying I had been 'opted out' and another from a different number saying 'The last service from the short code requested will be stopped for your phone within one working day', whatever that means. I won't know if the STOP text worked until I get my phone bill. Ominously, 3 of the 7 texts I received did NOT say 'Free message' like the other 4 did so I realise now they probably cost me money to receive and, of course, I expect it cost me to sent the TABLET and STOP texts. I feel really stupid......I HAD to put a dollar amount in so this would send. I just put $1 as I don't know how much I'll lose yet.
