I sent prototype of a pack children's playing cards with several of my own design innovations a couple of years ago.At that time I decided to not proceed as I didn't want to make the financial commitment. However a year later the company contacted me again and I believed this was because Davison had confidence in my concept.I explained at length during a few phone calls how I wanted an update of the existing art work and have a more up to date presentation .The product "SUMSORTS " is aimed at making numbers fun for children ,thereby helping with basic numeracy skills.As there is a lot of information about the innovations and uses I sent a copy of a promotion brochure, only to be seen as a aid to highlighting the potential of the playing cards to Davison for their information only. Months later, after paying the $10,000,all they had come up with was a plastic box to hold the booklet and a pack of playing cards.This was not related at all to the concept as the booklet was not to be considered as part of the item for sale.The precedent for the packaging, which I told them repeatedly ,was a long established brand of collecting cards widely available in the UK,ie TOP TRUMPS.The employee I spoke to told me she had never seen the pack or the booklet I d sent so I was dumfounded that she was in charge of the project. I pleaded with her to look at the items and then call me so we could discuss how to proceed. For the last two weeks my calls and messages have been ignored . Now I don't know how to regain my idea from Davison or as they be not carried out the development of my idea will I get any money back.The money I gave them was half my life savings, and as a woman of 64 it is huge loss.I could give more information but this is already very long, thanks to whoever has read it and Im desperately hoping for a response as I'm suffering from anxiety spells due to all the worry .Joan Averill [email protected]
