Yesterday I ordered some face cream that was supposed to be a free trial (Revitol Anti Aging) and my credit card was immediately charged $12.91 by a company called MY TOTAL BEAUTY. Not exactly free but not breaking the bank so I let it slide. Today I was phoned by an aggressive female sales agent who mentioned my recent purchase of Revitol and I could tell she was trying to trick me into agreeing to join discountrewards.com and she talked really fast and threw a bunch of monetary figures at me so I said "I just want the face cream" and we ended our conversation with me thinking that I would get the "free" trial and that would be the end of it. Soon after I checked my email and noticed that I had been enrolled in the Discount Rewards program without my consent with an additional charge of $11.79 to my credit card by a company called DRL DISCHEALTHBEAUTY. I called the phone number in the email and argued with an agent named Jodi(#0225) who said that there was nothing she could do until I asked to speak with her boss. Then I was put on hold while she pretended to get her boss and when she returned she said she could refund me $4 off the face cream charge and $9 off the Discount Rewards charge. The money has not been refunded. She feigned surprise when I expressed anger and I said "Well, do you like people stealing from you?" By the sounds of it Jodi comes from a place where they cut off your hands for stealing and right now that is sounding pretty good to me.

Update: 05/05/2014

I threatened action from the BBB and ic3 (the FBI internet crime division) and 3/4 of what they took was refunded to my card. Still going to order a new credit card though. They are not to be trusted.
