I Live alone in a one bedroom, one bath, apartment. I have a sister who lives in a home with two others one of which is an 8 year old. Her home has 4 bedrooms, three and one half baths, a livable basement, a huge sunroom, a pool a two car garage, and a hot tub. and it's in an affluent neighoorhood. Can anyone tell me why her electric bill is only $10 more than mine? Really $10 dollars more. Starion came into my home and told me they could lower my electric bill. Who doesn't want that. As a supplier I was told they could get my power cheaper. And for a couple of months it was. Then at the start of this year, 2014 I got a call about re-signing but at a higher rate. when I complained they told me about this "Variable" rate as well. Something I wasn't told when they came into my home back in the summer, and that it was just a minor bit noticeable to the bill. I never paid a bill of $110 be fore this company. Not in the winter or summer. - So Around November my SMECO bill was arouns $56, then it was $124, then $174, then $156, and this month it's $134. Again, I live alone in a one bedroom apt, my sister live in a home with two others and well... you get it.
