On 2/23/14 I filled out an on line application. This company came up for personal loans with a payment of $143 a month for 6 years at 5% interest. I proceeded with the application. On 2/24/14 a man named Roy King 510-907-8971 ext. 8971 called and told me I had been approved for a loan in the amount of $10,000, which was much smaller than the amount I applied for at $4,000. He then told me he had all of my banking information, but was unable to access my account to verify how much money I had in there, and that they needed verification that I had at least 10% of the loan amount I applied for, which was $4,000, in case I was unable to pay the installments. On 2/26/14 Roy King called and then asked me to go and take the $400 out of my checking account and purchase a green dot money pak card at CVS with the amount of $400. He, at that time, informed me that this money would be available to take back to my bank and redeposit it. He asked me for the pin number for verification of the voucher amount, which I gave. An hour went by, while still on the phone, and Roy King then told me I would have to put another $500 on another money pak card to verify the voucher. I, at that time, explained I only had $400. He then told me that the loan would not go through and I would not get my $400 back. I filed a complaint with the BBB, FTC, State Attorney's office, and with this company itself. I was then contacted by the Account Dept. manager Chris Watkins at 845-445-4891, who then informed me that I would in deed get the money returned to my checking account. After several hours waiting, he then called back and said for $220, he would return the $400. At that time, while this company had all of my information, my account was wiped clean, my credit score dropped 100 points in 10 minutes, and I was left with $1. Chris has since called, and all calls were recorded and witnessed, saying again, for $220 he would return the $400 from the money pak card. He then informed me that if I did not do this, I would then have to hire an attorney to receive the money taken from me. I contacted the FTC and BBB with the witness and with the message. The company even gave me a passcode and ID number so that when they called, I would know it was them.
