Power Home Remodeling was canvasing my neighborhood knocking door to door saying they were doing work nearby and wanted to give a no commitment 1 year price guarantee on window installations. I needed some windows replaced so I scheduled an appointment. The salesperson gave me a quote for 1 price if I signed immediately and another (about 20% higher if I didn't). I told him "no thank you" because I had not gotten any other quotes yet. He told me "no problem, sign now and you have 3 working days to cancel". So I did, had another company come in the next day, who gave me a quote for nearly half of the one Power gave me. So, I filled out the cancellation form the sales person gave me and sent it next day UPS with signature required. I received confirmation from UPS that the letter was received and a phone call from Power telling me that they now have to send a person to my house to sign another cancellation form. I filed a complaint with the Illinois BBB but I'm still receiving phone calls from PHR telling me that in order to cancel my order they need to send someone to my house. I told them that I have filed a complaint with the BBB and I immediately called the BBB after the call and filed a 2nd complaint. This is one creapy company. Thank God I didn't put down any money. Beware of these East Coast based clowns!
