I leased a new vehicle from Boch Toyota. After 3 hours of negotiations, I was able to secure a lease price of $256.01 for 3 years. This included all dealer fees, tax, title, reg, etc. It also included them paying off my trade in as well as $500 down from my pocket. This was the price that I shook hands with my salesman and the Sales Manager. From there, I went to the finance office to sign paperwork. During my time in the finance office, the manager began talking about my occupation as a firefighter, the fact that I was newly married and we discussed families, kids, etc.
During this time he seemed like a nice gentleman and had my attention being that our conversation seems sincere, honest, and personal. In the process he was handing me papers to sign, never going over the specifics of the deal. I realize this is the point where I take some of the blame - not checking the final numbers.
I took delivery of the vehicle the following day, in which was a sealed envelope that the salesman stated included my paperwork. I then drove home....an hour away. About a month later I received in the mail my first payment coupon which read $325.56. I was confused. I reached for the envelope to find that it only had my credit report and the odometer reading in it. No other paperwork was included.
After researching Massachusetts laws, I found that I was entitled to a 3 day "cooling off period" during which time I could return a newly purchased automobile. This of course had already expired. However, I could not have even consulted my paperwork during that time because it was not provided to me.
I am not disputing the overall purchase, and I know that I made mistakes during this transaction, however I would like the dealership to make good on the price we agreed upon.....$256.01. Thats all I want. However, I will never purchase another car from Boch Toyota.
