Ordered "trial bottles" of Equinox and RVTL Anti Aging Cream on 11/06/2013 with 30 day money back guarantee. Received products 11/14/2013. Used them twice, got rash and decided products useless. On 12/11 upon checking balance with Citi Card discovered they had charged $93, 99, plus foreign transaction fees of $2.79 and $2.97. Also charged $99.95, $105.95, plus $2.99 and $3.17 foreign transaction fees. Informed CitiCard I did not order product and put the matter into dispute. Received provisional credit. Called Equinox spoke with "Leon Nixon" who agreed to full refund and advised me to return "trial bottles" and when I received the two additional items for which I'd been charged on 12/11 but had not received them, to just mark them "refused." I did as instructed. The merchant has the products. Citi Card reversed the provisional credit and charged my credit card in the above-mentioned amounts for a total of $409.82. A Citi Card dispute agent made a conference call to Equinox and we spoke with a "Mike Brown" who agreed that "Leon Nixon" agreed to a full refund. However, since I had contacted Citi Card they are unwilling to refund any sums and this is the end of the case, they consider the matter closed. Even though Citi Card heard that they were willing to refund the money had Citi Card not been involved, they still take the position that the merchant does not have to fund funds if they don't wish to do so. I also wrote to the 2 email addresses I was given for the company and received a response - we were prepared to give you a positive ASAP response but because you opened case we are not authorized to do so. This merchant now has product and funds. I also tried to obtain assistance from Citi's fraud dept. They maintain fraud means company not known to me making unauthorized charges. Since I know the company, even though they shipped product I did not order, that does not constitute fraud. Please help me to recover $409.82. By the way, they are falsely advertising that Ellen DeGeneres, Barbra Streisand, Dr. Oz, Good Housekeeping. Citi Card has charged me 3% foreign transactions fees. I was never made aware of the fact that I was dealing with a foreign country. Had I been made aware that there would be a 3% transaction fee levied by Citi Card, I would have used my Capital One Credit Card which has no fee.
