Saw an ad on CL for a 2001 Prowler Rv for $4200. The woman emailed me many more photos and said she had moved to Augusta, Ga. (about 4 hrs away) and that I needed to use the Amazon FPS to do the deal. I was suckered into this scheme because the Amazon site looked genuine but I discovered afterwards that it was not hosted on an Amazon domain. I registered a complaint at the bogus website and the email attached to the ticket# was "[email protected]" nearly the same the email as the person with whom I was presumably negotiating with. The bogus website was hosted by Altervista.org and the actual web address is:
