I wanted to find a video chat platform and I came across ModenaCam. They offer a package for 599 euros with 3 months free modifications and hosting. Seems good? Read on... During the three months of modifications half of my requests were not answered and work carried out was to a very poor standard. Communication was very difficult with them as they didn't seem to be able to speak English.

Upon completion of the three month so called modifications, they began pulling ridiculous prices out of the air for basic modifications such as 1200 usd for chat room integration which was later quoted at 150 usd, 200 euros for a streaming box which cost them nothing and we later discovered that the usual quote would be 50 usd and take approximately 10 minutes to install.

Their hosting was not efficient enough to sustain the website and so it crashed all the time. For this, they were charging me 200 euros per month, again, this was quoted at 50 pounds or less by another provider.

They openly discussed my account with our competition which resulted in our brand and reputation being tarnished. Insider knowledge was discussed without our consent.

When I approached them with my complaint I was faced with snotty, arrogant comments and smiley icons. They did not care at all and seemed to enjoy my frustration. They then refused to continue work on the site. I was left with a website that did not work 2 days before the sites planned launch. A lot of money and time had been spent promoting the site launch and when the site failed, we were left picking up the pieces.

They then revoked hosting without giving any valid reason. This did not bother us much because we had already figured out that we were being scammed but the timing was awful. We were left with an incomplete website in a zip file without hosting and $1150 out of pocket.

I spoke to them and they refused to continue to work with us without giving a reason. I explained that I would not let this matter drop and be another number that they had scammed at which point they offered me a full refund before deleting my account on their instant messenger. I emailed them multiple times without response.

I am furious with myself for getting involved with such a company. Out of pocket I am now just trying to warn people about getting involved with ModenaCam.
