I had an issue with my computer and thought that it was to do with my Internet. I contacted my Internet Provider and after quite a time, they advised me that this was a Microsoft problem. I contact Microsoft (and I'm not sure if I even got through to Microsoft and ended being in touch with OMNITECH. They took control of my computer and for $249.00 they would be able to protect my computer and then for a 4 year subscription totally $1159.00 I would have complete protection. They worked on my computer the first time for about 15 hours and were unable to fix my computer. I contacted them the following morning and then I found out that the issue actually did lie with my Internet Provider. Since OMNITECH had control of my computer, I received a message that my hard drive was about to crash and I needed to do a back-up. I then received a call from someone who claimed to be Microsoft Support and was told that my license had been compromised and I needed to pay $199.00 to reinstate my license. When I told them I couldn't affort that, they dropped it down to $99.00. I was really getting suspicious now and refused to pay. The next thing I knew, my computer was totally inoperable. My computer is now in at the repair shop and I'm not sure how much this little episode is going to cost me. I have cancelled my credit card so OMNITECH can't get any more money out of me but I'm really not sure who one should be talking to for Microsoft Support. Is there a name out there that one can trust for Microsoft Support. I sure would be interested in finding out. Thank you

  • In this instance, the complainant hasn’t revealed any details with which we can use to determine if this person is actually our customer in the first place. We invite this person to provide some actual details like, date of supposedly contacting us, the customer ID he/she was given, or his/her email address, so that we can investigate further into this particular case and resolve it, if it is real. On this alleged situation we are unable to comment on anything, other than the fact we don’t have a 4-year plan for $1,159.

Obviously, we are not related to Microsoft and we never represent ourselves as Microsoft’s associate. We identify ourselves, clearly, on initial contact. Our company name is very prominent on the website, that when we greet the customer we use our name, our name is on the diagnosis and our name is on the chat window. This person, if they did contact us, certainly misunderstood us.
With permission, we access the customer’s computer using a well-known and trusted remote 3rd-party access tool. We, then runs a diagnosis, using a trusted 3rd-party diagnosis tool. We have no influence over the results it gives. Our process is very transparent. The customer can watch and control every movement of our technician and, can terminate the remote control by a single click. Once customer revokes the remote access, our technicians cannot re-establish the connection on their own without customer’s assistance/grant.

If the customer’s issue wasn’t fixed, then he would have got his money back instantly as per our Terms & Conditions, which our customers must agree to before we commence work. Our service, price and policy are unmatchable by others and it works out for everyone. We provide quality, affordable technical support (we are a global company), and always try to provide the best services to our genuine customers.
