my fiancé purchased my engagement ring from zamels on sale from $2499 to $1299 au. After having worn the ring only 4 months I took the ring in to be checked as the centre diamond appeared to have dropped. the sales assistant looked over the ring and said the diamond has definitely dropped we will need to send it off to our jeweller to be looked at. Ok fine she filled out the paperwork and as it comes with a 5 year diamond guarantee or so they say it was sent off. They've had the ring 3 weeks now apparently 3 jewellers have looked over the ring and I've been told that I have caused damage to the ring.. Scrapped my hand along something and it's caused the diamond to press down. I'm a not aware of damaging my own ring and was told as it's wear and tear ( 4 months, mind you) it is not covered under the diamond guarantee. not only am I majorly disappointed wight he quality oft the ring but also the service as I had to call head office to complain that the regional manager had not contacted me to let me know what was happening.. It's been 3 weeks. Now they are. Sending it of f to Adelaide to be looked at and if the report comes back that the claws are damaged I will have to pay to have the entire ring re set!!!! I thought rings were supposed to last the time of marriage not fall apart in 4 months. Will NEVER be purchasing anything from zamels or mazzechelis (there sister company) AGAIN!!!
