I am currently trying to recover $495 I paid to New Show Studious. New Show president Tony Valkanas told me that the $495 was the only fee that was not negotiable & that if my show got to the point where producers were interested, he (New SHow) could pledge the money & New SHow would recover a higher return when it was produced. Valkanas raved & raved about the strong social relevance my idea for a show had & how he believed it was a winner & that I should hurry to get the wheels in motion by paying the $495. I would not have invested w/New SHow if I knew I had to come up w/more money after the $495 because I did not have more money to pay Valkanas which I made very clear in the beginning.

Ten months later, I finished paying-off the $495, then New SHow president Tony Valkanas sent me a "special" CD for my idea comparing my show to other similar shows & said he would now try to market the show. The CD appeared to be a copy/paste that New SHow probably uses for all the "hopefuls" trying to get their idea produced; whereas Valkanas or his secretary simply copy/pastes the information for the next person he (Valkanas/New Show) is reeling in. Valkanas then called me with what he referred to as "exciting news" telling me how happy he was that we've reached "this point" much sooner than he expected because producers were already interested. He praised my insight for the show and raved some more then said I should hurry and read the forthcoming "production agreement" because he had producers "at the door" interested in my show & "we" should strike while the iron was hot but his production agreement actually amounted to a proposal asking me for more money such as roughly $8,000 to $12,000 more and of course, New Show president Valkanas said he'd "work with me" on paying it off over time. Valkanas said it did not matter how long it took me to pay off the thousands he was asking but that no production could be had until I paid it. I realized it was most probable that I'd been scammed and that New SHow could be feeding off of the hopeful people who want their ideas produced.

I would NEVER have given Valkanas (New Show) a dime if I thought I would have to pay more than the $495 (because he said New SHow could put out whatever else and take more from the return) and I made it very clear that I was struggling to pay the $495 which of course president Tony Valkanas already knew since it took me almost one year to finish paying the $495. I suspect Valkanas simply tells everyone the same thing or close enough to the same thing to get more and more money, even if it is money taken over a long drawn-out period of time. If Valkanas does this to enough people, New Show is feeding on the idol dreams of others. I feel I was completely mislead.

I asked for my money refunded but Valkanas threatened me that our phone calls were taped and that I should have known I would have to pay more money when he did not represent that more money would be required let alone immediately required and much less that he wanted $8-12,000 more! That was not how he represented himself at all. Valkanas told me the only non-negotiable fee was the $495 & that if he was at the point of gaining producers interest, he would invest more or most of what was needed to go forward and simply take a higher return.

As I said, immediately after I finished paying the $495, Valkanas called w/the news that he had an appointment with a producer in NYC about my show & that we should leap forward so not to miss the chance. He made several pressure calls to me about this producer (named "SFA" or something) urging me to call him back about the production agreement (which again, was merely a tool to get me to pay him more money or start paying him more moeny). Valkanas said Pittsburgh is really the new Hollywood as he was desperately trying to gain my confidence. He was very optimistic and boastful about succeeding because approaching a "hopeful" this way is the only way to gain someone's condidence but in the end, money is what he was looking for regardless of how long he had to wait. Waiting diminishes the relevance of the shows public appeal and relevance in society.

New Show should be mandated to make it clear that $8-12,000 is in fact required to move forward w/any idea before he (Valkanas/New SHow) takes $495 from anyone. I feel totally scammed out of $495. If New SHow does this to enough people, they are unjustly profitting by exploiting others who could believe as I did, that $495 would earn consideration by major producers as Valkanas lead me to believe from dozens and dozens of phone calls he placed to me over the period of one year. Valkanas replied to my shock over the $8-12,000 that it will cost him $60,000 to go forward so he is paying the lions share. What happened to the producers at the door? Valkanas said on 11/20/13 or 11/21/13 that he would be meeting with a producer about my show on Friday 11/22/13 so I should quickly respond to an agreement and a commitment for money to be paid or we would miss this opportunity. I believe Valkanas was applying pressure to hype me up so I would continue draining myself for the hope my idea would reach a producer. How could I provide more money immediately when Valkanas knew it took me almost one year to pay for the $495? I explained that to him and said I will work with you as long as you need to pay me (the $8-12,000). How could this be worth his while when the idea for the show would become stale over time? It is unethical to take money under these circumstances and I affirm Valkanas did not represent that it would actually cost me $8-12,000 to approach launching my idea. Quite the opposite. If anyone could legally help me recover the $495 unethically wasted, I would so very much appreciate it.
