I used this company's services for two months and then tried to cancel services on 11/25/13 for the 3rd month before renewal on the 28th. I called the billing number (which I had also called in the previous week) twice but no answer.

I left a message that I wanted to cancel my subscription to their services, left my phone no., and asked them to call me back. The no. listed with the charge for their services is 310-319-6865(I almost remember it by heart).

No call back, so instead of my subscription being cancelled on time which it should have been, I was billed for another month's services which I don't want, need, and which I told them I wanted to cancel.

I went to their website on 11/28 to log in and see if I could cancel there but my correct login info came up with an error message (incorrect username or password, I don't remember which).

I am tired and angry about the runaround by this company which produces good services but which acts like a phantom organization when it comes to billing, being able to contact them, and carry on business as practically everyone else does on the internet. What gives?

When I go to their website now, it is not even readily apparent how to login. It is as if they want to make it hard or next to impossible to cancel services as people who sign up are entitled to do. I have spent more than 2 hours trying to follow up on this matter including going to the bank twice, calling them, writing this and another letter detailing more of what happened, and want to be compensated for my time and trouble.

This kind of thing should not be happening in this day and age. ehow.com charged me $19.99 on 11/28 after I told their representative for billing I wanted to cancel services. It is their responsibility to staff and have available someone for billing and related matters, such as canceling services, etc.

Don't you think so? To not do so represents a first-class scam in my book. I want compensation for lost time from this company. Just as their employees need to be compensated for their efforts, customers who they wrongly treat and have to spend precious time resolving the matter should be compensated at at least minimum wage (for 2.5 hours now X $8.75 = $21.38 + $19.99 for a total monetary damage claim of $41.37).

Additionally, this kind of thing needs to stop. It is reason enough to stop doing business on the internet and start going after these companies legally and culling those out that are not doing business legitimately.

I hope they get their act together before many more people are treated this way and that they compensate me before I distribute this complaint more widely on the internet, which I will do if the matter is not resolved. That should be expected to protect others and try to get resolution of this matter. Thank you.

  • This is a billing scam company for sure. Just read the 'Terms' where they say that if someone wants to cancel the instructions are in section 5, I believe, but when you go to section 5, there is nothing there about how to cancel services. It is a perfect loop for nothing to happen and a scamy company to keep billing people endlessly with no way to cancel services like anyone should be able to do. this company needs to change its billing, customer service, terms of service, and non-transparency or be shut down. I'm contacting the government regulators to complain about it since this is an obvious scam attached to real services. No one is signing up for a life contract and that needs to be understood by such corporate sleuths. As you can see, I am slightly perturbed at this. Avoid them and go elsewhere. ehow.com billing and support is smoke and mirrors!
