On 8/11/13 I ordered a digital meat thermometer online in response to an advertisement. The price was $9.95 and the charge was made to my MasterCard under the name "JBEI Gourmet Rewards". A charge for this same amount of $9.95 appeared on my MasterCard statements of Sept., Oct., and Nov. before I noticed it and questioned my wife who professed no knowledge of this company or the what the charges were for. Also, in Sept. an identical charge from MBM Gourmet Cooking showed up on the MasterCard. This charge was repeated in Oct. and Nov. Today I called the MBM Ph # 866-350-8718 and reached a lady who said the terms of the thermometer ad obligated me to both the MBM "service" of food discounts, and to the right to get recipes from JBEI. I told her I did not intend to use either of these "services" and to cancel them and issue a credit. She said she could only credit the latest charge of $9.95. I won't know if this has been done until I get my next MC statement. Incidentally, the thermometer, which I did receive, was a cheap piece of junk and I threw it away.
