In May of 2011, I received a phone call describing that I was needing to give my bank card number to update what I thought was a magazine service I already had. Because I was having some hard times that day and being flustered about things, without verifying who it was, I gave my card number. Very stupid mistake. But the company confused a number on the card. So, they called back the next month because the card they used was incorrect. I asked them (after verifying the new number) for which account this was. They stated clearly their business. I realized there was a mistake and told them I wouldnt accept their offer and that this was a mistake. I gave NO PERMISSION to run my card. But they did. I try to call and dispute the matter and cannot get a hold of anyone, or that they cannot help me. Now my bank account is in jeopardy and I have to shift around payments. Being unemployed, I cant afford to pay this bill, which would result in $1000 if I let them continue.
